The Sr Finance Manager CFM IM Americas will lead the CFM and controllership agenda for Innovative Medicine Americas from Bogotá. This highly visible leadership role is accountable for the integrity of actuals, financial reporting excellence, and end-to-end close execution across a complex regional and global portfolio. As the senior authority on actuals, the leader partners with senior Finance stakeholders to drive strong governance, actionable insights, and informed business decisions. The role leads a senior finance organization, mobilizes the broader A2R and GSF network across the Americas, and drives operational excellence, risk mitigation, and the development of a scalable, high-performing finance organization.
Lead an Americas-wide controllership model that provides consistent governance while recognizing market complexity, portfolio dynamics and differences accounting reporting requirements. Partner with Innovative Medicine regional and market Finance leaders to understand commercial and economic drivers, loss‑of‑exclusivity impacts, product and portfolio changes, gross‑to‑net considerations, operating expense movements and other factors affecting actuals. Ensure robust P&L, balance‑sheet, cash‑flow and risk reviews across the region, connecting market‑level issues to regional implications and communicating decision‑ready insights to senior leadership. Coordinate cross‑market accounting positions and recurring or emerging risk areas, driving consistency, documentation, escalation and timely remediation across A2R, GSF, BUF and FP&A. Lead the integration of new businesses, reporting structures, systems or scope changes into the CFM operating model, with disciplined transition governance and business continuity. Build a strong Americas community of practice, sharing insights and standards across North America and other Americas markets while developing scalable capabilities in Bogotá.

Tax, Treasury, Compliance, Corporate Reporting, Internal Audit and External Audit. Commercial, supply‑chain and transformation stakeholders when business events affect accounting, controls or reporting.
Demonstrate executive presence and communicate complex accounting and financial topics with clarity, confidence and appropriate judgment for senior audiences. Navigate ambiguity and competing priorities across countries, functions and time zones, making sound decisions while balancing accuracy, speed, risk and stakeholder needs. Lead organizational and process change with a structured, people‑centered approach, helping teams and stakeholders understand the case for change, adopt new ways of working and sustain performance through transition. Create an environment where team members understand the business, connect their work to enterprise outcomes, raise risks early and contribute ideas that improve the operating model. Model integrity, accountability, inclusive leadership and constructive challenge, reinforcing a culture where issues are surfaced transparently and resolved collaboratively. Support the evolution from a primarily CFM‑focused model toward integrated CFM and Legal Entity controllership, bringing together management reporting, statutory and legal‑entity perspectives where the future operating model requires it. Help define the governance, role clarity, capability plan and transition roadmap required to integrate Legal Entity Controller responsibilities without weakening core CFM ownership of actuals or business partnership.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field required; postgraduate degree or MBA preferred. CPA, CMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred. Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience, with significant depth in controllership, accounting, external or management reporting, financial analysis and complex matrix organizations. At least 5 years of people‑leadership experience, including demonstrated success developing managers and/or senior individual contributors and building high‑performing teams. Strong knowledge of US GAAP required; practical exposure to IFRS and/or local GAAP, statutory reporting, tax coordination and legal‑entity accounting strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience supporting North American markets or senior North American stakeholders strongly preferred. English proficiency at C1 level or equivalent, with the ability to lead executive meetings, negotiations and presentations and to produce clear, nuanced written communication. Experience with SAP and enterprise financial reporting environments; and exposure to CFIN, BRAVO, TM1/EPM, BlackLine/Cadency, Power BI, Alteryx, UiPath or similar tools is an advantage. Availability to collaborate across North American and global time zones and to travel domestically or internationally as business needs require.
Experience supporting pharmaceutical or Innovative Medicine businesses and complex regional portfolios. Demonstrated experience managing multiple markets, preferably including the United States, Canada and/or broader Americas. Understanding of revenue reserves, gross‑to‑net, inventory, intercompany, foreign exchange and market‑specific accounting or statutory considerations is highly valued.
The successful candidate will combine the rigor of a controller, the perspective of a strategic finance partner and the leadership of an organization builder. This leader will be equally comfortable challenging an accounting conclusion, guiding a CFO through risks and opportunities, mobilizing multiple execution teams, developing talent and shaping a scalable future‑state model from Bogotá.
