Job summary

Atmosera is seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to manage high-availability environments, Always On AGs, and disaster recovery strategies. You will work with IT teams to ensure optimal database performance and uptime across on-premises and cloud deployments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, and monitoring tools. Strong problem-solving skills and collaboration with developers and DevOps are essential.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
Expertise in Always On Availability Groups and other HA/DR solutions.
Strong understanding of T-SQL scripting, indexing, and query tuning.
Experience with SQL Server 2016, 2019, and/or 2022.
Knowledge of Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC).
Familiarity with cloud-based SQL solutions (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).
Experience with PowerShell, automation scripts, and monitoring tools.
Understanding of database security principles and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances (on-premises and/or cloud).
Manage security, roles, permissions, and backups.
Monitor database health and performance proactively.
Design, implement, and maintain Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, and Replication.
Ensure 99.99% uptime and meet high-performance standards.
Conduct automatic failover testing, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
Identify and resolve SQL query performance issues using execution plans, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
Analyze and optimize T-SQL queries and stored procedures.
Document database architectures, processes, and recovery plans.
