Job summary

FPT Latin America is seeking a Senior SQL Server DBA to own SQL Server administration, performance tuning, disaster recovery, backup/recovery, and production support. This senior individual contributor role partners with the DBA Lead and requires proactive ownership from problem identification to resolution.

You will administer production SQL Server environments, perform upgrades, patching, monitoring, and alerting, troubleshoot issues, support migrations, and collaborate with developers,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of SQL Server DBA experience.
• Strong communication and customer-facing experience.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.

Responsibilities

• Perform performance tuning and query optimization.
• SQL Server upgrades, patching, monitoring & alerting.

Job description

We’re looking for a Senior SQL Server DBA with strong hands‑on experience in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, disaster recovery, backup/recovery, and production support.

This is a senior individual contributor role supporting a customer’s SQL environment and partnering closely with the DBA Lead. We need someone who can work independently, proactively identify issues, and take ownership from problem identification through resolution.

• Administer and support SQL Server production environments
• Perform performance tuning & query optimization
• SQL Server upgrades, patching, monitoring & alerting
• Production troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Support migrations, enhancements, and application projects
• Identify performance, security, and operational risks
• Work with developers, infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders
• Automate DBA tasks using PowerShell
• Act as backup to the DBA Lead when needed

Must‑Have Skills

• Ability to work independently and proactively

• Insurance / regulated industry experience
