BairesDev is seeking a SQL Server Database Architect to modernize an internal database engine, refactor stored procedures, and guide a long-term migration from on-premises SQL Server to Azure.

You will collaborate with .NET and Blazor teams to design a secure, high-performance data platform, focusing on data integrity, performance tuning, and scalable architecture. This 100% remote role offers competitive USD compensation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in database architecture or engineering.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server.
• Hands-on experience with C#/.NET.
• Experience with Blazor for collaboration on front-end and backend integration.
• Strong background in database performance tuning, including indexing, execution plans, and normalization.
• Experience with stored procedure refactoring and data architecture design.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

SQL Server Database Architect at BairesDev

In this role, you'll transform a database engine supporting a proprietary internal application, moving away from deeply nested stored procedures toward a centralized, config-driven rules engine. Working alongside .NET and Blazor developers, you'll redesign and refactor for performance while planning a long-term migration from on-prem SQL Server to Azure.
