Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to be the technical anchor for the infrastructure team, leveraging AWS, EKS, Helm, and Terraform to design scalable, cost-efficient systems.

You will lead large multi-cluster Kubernetes environments, optimize Aurora PostgreSQL performance, and mentor teammates while driving cost-reduction initiatives. This is a 100% remote role with flexible hours and global collaboration with the Top 1% of tech talent.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or cloud infrastructure.
• Deep, battle-tested experience managing large-scale, multi-cluster Kubernetes environments on AWS EKS via Helm and Terraform.
• Strong experience with Karpenter for automatic infrastructure scaling.
• Strong DBA skills in AWS Aurora PostgreSQL, including performance tuning under heavy traffic.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

What You'll Do

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or cloud infrastructure.
• Deep, battle-tested experience managing large-scale, multi-cluster Kubernetes environments, specifically AWS EKS via Helm and Terraform.
• Strong experience with Karpenter for automatic infrastructure scaling.
• Strong relational database administration (DBA) skills within AWS, specifically performance tuning, optimizing parameter groups, and handling data layer choke points for Aurora PostgreSQL under heavy traffic.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Nice To Have

• GCP experience or adjacency for potential Google Cloud workload migrations.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions optimization.
• Experience with Redis/ElastiCache or Sidekiq debugging.
