Amazon Web Services Colombia S.A.S. is seeking a Solutions Architect to launch and grow our public sector and education business in Colombia.

You will join a dynamic team that applies cutting-edge cloud technologies to improve IT agility and cost efficiency while scaling AWS as the leading cloud platform. As a Solutions Architect, you will shape and deliver strategies to broaden usage of AWS services (EC2, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, WAF, CloudFront) within education and public sector

Formación

• Fluency in English is required for this position.
• Experience communicating complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 3+ years of IT sales experience.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a technical reference in Colombia, helping ensure customer success through the creation and migration of applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
• Engage and educate new and existing partner ecosystems, and support their technical implementation efforts.
• Help solution providers and government agencies with the definition and implementation of technical and commercial strategies that enable them to reduce costs and raise citizen services.
• Capture and share best practices knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community and SA team.
• Understand AWS market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.

Your business development and sales team will accelerate the adoption of AWS as the leading cloud technology platform.

You would be one of the members of a dynamic team that would incorporate the latest in disruptive and cutting-edge cloud computing technologies to address the difficult problems of IT agility and costs. Your business development and sales team will accelerate the adoption of AWS as the leading cloud technology platform.
As an Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect, you will have the opportunity to shape and deliver a strategy to build broad and shared use of AWS computing services (such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon API Gateway, AWS WAF, and Amazon CloudFront) within education and public sector organizations, as well as the public sector partner ecosystem, whose growth and knowledge transfer will be one of your main objectives.

• Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal) at a professional or native level is required for this position

Key job responsibilities

• Serve as a technical reference in Colombia, helping to ensure customer success in fulfilling their missions through the creation and migration of applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
• Engage and educate new and existing partner ecosystems, and support their technical implementation efforts.
• Help solution providers and government agencies with the definition and implementation of technical and commercial strategies that enable them to reduce costs and raise the bar for citizen services.
• Capture and share best practices knowledge among the global AWS Solutions Architect community, as well as your SA team.
• Understand AWS market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.

• Create, build, transfer knowledge, and design cloud computing architectures for our education, health, government, and non-governmental entity customers.
• Dive deep into technical discussions about design and have an innate curiosity to always keep your technical skills up to date while keeping a pulse on industry trends.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience communicating complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 3+ years of IT sales experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Technical and customer-facing skills that will allow you to be the technical face of AWS within our solution provider ecosystem/environment, as well as directly to end customers
