Job summary

Twilio Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in the Enterprise AI Engineering team. You will help transform Twilio’s Customer Support ops with AI-powered tools and agentic products, delivering production-grade, full-stack AI applications.

You will bridge AI research and robust systems, collaborating across Sales, Support, Operations, Finance, HR, and Legal. The role emphasizes building scalable back-end and intuitive front-end interfaces, with a focus on agentic workflows and data

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or a related field, with at least 1 year leading projects.
  • Experience with full-stack development building web apps, using modern programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript.

Responsibilities

  • Co-lead the design and development of software infrastructure, driving technical vision and strategy to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Drive the development of sophisticated, stateful web applications.
  • Oversee the integration of complex React front-ends with backend modular services, ensuring a seamless UI experience.
  • Serve as developer leader in distributed systems, data technologies, with strong social engineering skills.
  • Drive technical innovation and research to stay at the forefront of emerging data technologies and best practices.
  • Mentor and elevate a team of high-performing engineers.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence through deep-dive code reviews and architectural workshops.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Stay current with the evolving JavaScript ecosystem to maximize engineering efficiency.
