This position is onsite and offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical projects supporting the U.S. Army’s Network Modernization and Mission Network initiatives. The Software Developer will play a vital role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing software applications that support the Army’s technological infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree coupled with over 10 years of relevant experience in software development. Prior experience supporting Department of Defense projects is highly preferred, particularly with a minimum of 5 years in a similar environment. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in analyzing user requirements, designing software architecture, and developing applications aligned with specifications.

Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications for various engineering and operational purposes, ensuring alignment with project requirements and standards.
• Collaborate with analysts and end-users to understand their needs and translate them into functional software solutions.
• Develop tools and interfaces that enhance system capabilities and user experience.
• Create, test, and deploy operating systems-level software, including compilers and network distribution applications.
• Define operational specifications and analyze software requirements to ensure system compatibility and performance.
• Design embedded systems software to support hardware integration and operational efficiency.
• Conduct thorough testing of software applications to identify bugs and issues, implementing fixes to ensure robustness.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Identify areas for improvement in existing software and implement updates based on user feedback and evolving needs.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed software, including technical specifications and user manuals.
