The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience with Shopify, strong project collaboration skills, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment. • 3+ years of experience in Shopify Development, ideally with Shopify Plus.
• Strong understanding of Shopify 2.0 and working with a theme and/or Storefront API.
• Experience implementing/debugging 3rd party Shopify apps and creating custom solutions.

Overview

We are DEPT, one of the world’s biggest digital agencies. We create, build and deliver digital services for some of the most recognized brands worldwide. As a Shopify Developer you’ll build new e-commerce applications for global brands using the latest technologies in the Shopify and React space. With our hybrid working model, you can work from home or from our modern offices in Madrid.

Key Responsibilities

• Build out e-commerce sites in Shopify and Shopify Plus
• Work on mobile, tablet and desktop solutions
• Perform regular website testing to ensure functionality, log issues, detail bugs, and recommend improvements to PMs
• Manage website updates, edits, changes, or asset uploads within our content management system
• Collaborate with PMs to support new business sales and pitches
• Maintain knowledge of security and personal data protection principles and GDPR
• Develop testing plans and troubleshoot eCommerce issues
• Support website conversion and analytics efforts
• Monitor and manage website uptime and performance

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in Shopify Development, ideally with Shopify Plus
• Experience building, launching and maintaining stores, and general knowledge of the admin system
• Strong understanding of Shopify 2.0 and working with a theme and/or Storefront API
• Experience with Liquid templating
• Experience implementing/debugging 3rd party Shopify apps and creating custom solutions when needed
• Experience with Shopify's object/properties, AJAX API, and Metafields
• Experience developing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Experience working with 3rd party services and APIs and Shopify plugins
