AECOM Bogotá is seeking an experienced Principal Engineer – Water, Hydraulics and Drainage to lead hydraulic modelling and design of wastewater, stormwater, and urban drainage projects. The role requires strong InfoWorks ICM expertise, ability to lead teams across regions, and delivery of high-quality, sustainable water infrastructure solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in hydraulic modelling and design.
• Proficiency with InfoWorks ICM.
• Experience leading work packages with distributed teams.
• Strong hydrology/hydraulics knowledge and asset assessment.
• Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and data handling.
• Excellent technical writing and stakeholder engagement.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end hydraulic modelling using InfoWorks ICM for wastewater and stormwater networks.
• Model and assess CSOs, pump stations, and treatment works; develop CSO spill reduction programs.
• Deliver hydraulic design of foul/storm sewer and urban drainage networks.
• Define modelling strategies, data requirements, and QA/QC plans.
• Coordinate with Lead Offices and multidisciplinary teams across time zones.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews.
• Manage work packages, schedules, and budgets with risk mitigation.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to present methodologies and findings.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, specs, and data management plans.
• Support bid/estimate inputs and improve modelling templates.
