Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc is seeking a Senior Support Engineer focused on security monitoring and proactive threat defense. You will safeguard critical systems, monitor on-prem and cloud environments, and collaborate with global teams to strengthen security posture.

Responsibilities include SIEM/SOAR rule tuning, threat hunting, and incident response, with a strong focus on real-time detection and clear reporting to stakeholders. English proficiency (B2+) is required.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in network security.
• Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike Falcon Platform for endpoint detection and threat response.
• Experience with email security practices and tools to detect and prevent email-based threats.
• Strong background conducting security investigations to identify and analyze potential incidents.
• Solid experience in security monitoring to detect and respond to suspicious activity in real time.
• Practical experience across broader security operations functions.
• Proficiency with Splunk Enterprise Security for monitoring, detection, and reporting purposes.
• Upper-intermediate English language skills or higher (B2)

Responsibilities

• Monitor on-prem and AWS infrastructure for attacks, intrusions, and unusual or illegal activity.
• Monitor identity and access management activity, including abuse of permissions by authorized users.
• Create SIEM and SOAR detection rules and update playbooks for incident response.
• Perform threat hunting and support threat intelligence processes.
• Carry out security operations activities alongside core monitoring duties.
• Generate clear reports for technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders.
• Use analytic tools to identify emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities.
