AECOM in Bogotá, Colombia is seeking a Structural Engineer with 6+ years of experience in the structural design of transportation facilities, including airports, railway systems, and metro stations. The role requires proficiency in international codes and advanced structural analysis software.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop design documentation, perform QA/QC reviews, and communicate with clients on project scope and expectations.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• 6+ years of proven structural engineering experience in design of concrete and steel structures.
• Knowledge of international design codes such as ACI, AISC, ASCE, IBC, AREMA, AASHTO, Eurocodes, CSA.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge, STAAD.Pro, IdeaStatica, RAM Connection; AutoCAD experience desirable.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in the structural design of transportation infrastructure facilities, including airports, railway systems, metro and BRT stations, maintenance workshops, operational buildings, electrical substations, and related infrastructure through the development of structural analysis models, engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation.
• Perform structural design of reinforced concrete and structural steel systems of buildings and civil works, considering loads, dynamics, serviceability, durability, constructability, and lifecycle performance.
• Work independently with latitude to determine priorities and receive guidance on objectives.
• Conduct technical quality reviews and project documentation in line with policies.
• Serve as Lead Verifier on projects ensuring client scope satisfaction.
• Engage with multidisciplinary project teams to confirm approach and reviews.
• Communicate with clients to discuss scope, information needs, and feedback on drafts.
• Develop solutions to complex issues using standard methods and new procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with construction disciplines to ensure project delivery.
