PayJoy is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build our cell phone-locking system and risk modeling infrastructure. You will develop data-driven features, internal tools, and partner API integrations while ensuring high quality and great user experiences.

The role requires 4+ years of full stack experience, strong JS/SQL skills, and familiarity with frontend and backend architectures. Join a mission-driven company in Bogotá offering growth and collaboration.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline as stated.
• 4+ years of full stack software development experience.
• Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies such as Javascript and SQL, with Vue.js or React.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a strong emphasis on code quality.

This role

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for building technology of our unique cell phone-locking system, data-driven risk modeling to support our financial products, internal tools and partner API integrations, ensuring the quality and functionality of software solutions writing clean and functional code to ensure system consistency and to create a great user experience

• Build and maintain user-friendly software applications and solutions using front-end and back-end technologies.
• Work with development teams and product managers to develop software solutions.
• Collaborate on the client-side and server-side architecture.
• Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement in software development processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in full stack software development, project management, and in-depth knowledge of programming languages and databases as well unit tests.
• Proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies, Javascript and SQL and Vue.js framework or React .
• PHP, Python or native Android experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with designing, configuring, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for frontend and backend applications is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Being a team player, that includes review, pair programming, collaboration in one task, mentoring or being mentored.
