Capgemini Engineering is seeking a backend-focused software developer to design, build, and maintain scalable systems across a cloud-native stack. You will work with Java/Kotlin, AWS services, and modern databases, contributing to architecture and reviews while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact results.

The role emphasizes modern GraphQL APIs, resilient microservices, and hands-on coding, testing, and documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• 3–5 years of backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin.
• Experience with MongoDB Atlas (NoSQL).
• Experience with Aurora MySQL on AWS.
• Cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.
• Spring Boot experience.
• GraphQL API development using Netflix DGS.
• Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance systems.
• Strong English communication and collaboration.

Responsabilidades

Job Description

Scope of Work

• Take on lower-priority engineering work the team lacks bandwidth for, including compliance, engineering maintenance, cost-savings, observability, experiment clean‑up, and operational tooling.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, performant, and reliable software systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design, validating solutions through data and experimentation where appropriate.
• Participate in code and design reviews.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers.
• Clarify requirements and perform mid-level design work, focusing on coding, testing, and documentation.

Must‑Have Skills

• 3–5 years of professional, backend‑focused software development experience.
• Java and/or Kotlin.
• MongoDB Atlas or similar modern NoSQL database experience.
• Aurora MySQL on AWS or similar relational database experience.
• Cloud‑native distributed systems on AWS.
• Spring Boot.
• GraphQL API development (Netflix DGS).
• Experience building and operating large‑scale, high‑performance, resilient systems.
• Strong English communication and collaboration skills.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Event‑driven system development with Kafka and/or SQS.
