AgileEngine is expanding its QA capabilities with a Senior SDET to strengthen quality across web and API layers using Java, REST Assured, and Playwright. This role blends developer-minded QA with shift-left testing, embedding automation into CI/CD pipelines.

You will build scalable automation from the ground up, define testing strategies, mentor engineers, and help ensure reliable release cycles in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience as an SDET.
• Proficient in Java and backend testing with REST Assured.
• Hands-on Playwright experience and shift-left CI/CD integration.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior SDET to strengthen quality across web and API layers using Java, REST Assured, and Playwright. This role blends a developer's mindset with a shift-left testing philosophy, embedding automation directly into CI/CD pipelines. It offers the chance to build testing practices from the ground up in a fast-moving engineering environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• - Build and maintain scalable, robust automation frameworks from the ground up for both Web and API layers.
• - Define the automation strategy, ensuring high test coverage and reliable release cycles within your squads.
• - Create comprehensive API automation suites to ensure the integrity of microservices.
• - Implement and manage frontend automation scripts to ensure a top-tier user experience.
• - Mentor other engineers on testing best practices and foster a "quality-first" culture.

MUST HAVES

• - 4+ years of experience as an SDET Engineer.
• - Strong programming skills in Java (a "developer-first" approach to QA).
• - Extensive experience using REST Assured for backend testing.
• - Proven hands-on experience with Playwright.
• - Deep understanding of the "shift-left" approach and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• - Ability to work independently and provide technical direction on quality initiatives.

NICE TO HAVES

• - Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.
• - Experience with Performance or Load testing (e.g., JMeter or Gatling).
• - Familiarity with Cloud infrastructure and SQL for data validation within test scripts.
• - Experience working with Mocking frameworks.
