AgileEngine, LLC. in a fast-moving engineering environment seeks a Senior SDET to elevate quality across web and API layers using Java, REST Assured, and Playwright. You will embed automation into CI/CD pipelines and help build testing practices from the ground up with a developer-first QA mindset.

You will architect scalable automation frameworks, define strategy, create API and frontend automation suites, and mentor engineers to champion a quality-first culture across squads and projects.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience as an SDET engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Extensive experience using REST Assured for backend testing.
• Proven hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Deep understanding of shift-left testing and integrating automation into CI/CD.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical direction.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior SDET to strengthen quality across web and API layers using Java, REST Assured, and Playwright. This role blends a developer's mindset with a shift-left testing philosophy, embedding automation directly into CI/CD pipelines. It offers the chance to build testing practices from the ground up in a fast-moving engineering environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build and maintain scalable, robust automation frameworks from the ground up for both Web and API layers.
• Define the automation strategy, ensuring high test coverage and reliable release cycles within your squads.
• Create comprehensive API automation suites to ensure the integrity of microservices.
• Implement and manage frontend automation scripts to ensure a top-tier user experience.
• Mentor other engineers on testing best practices and foster a "quality-first" culture.

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of experience as an SDET Engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Java (a "developer-first" approach to QA).
• Extensive experience using REST Assured for backend testing.
• Proven hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Deep understanding of the "shift-left" approach and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical direction on quality initiatives.

NICE TO HAVES

• Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.
• Experience with Performance or Load testing (e.g., JMeter or Gatling).
• Familiarity with Cloud infrastructure and SQL for data validation within test scripts.
• Experience working with Mocking frameworks.
