Senior SDET: Automation Engineer for .NET Web Apps

Bbva Colombia is seeking an experienced SDET / Test Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated testing across modernized enterprise apps from .NET 6 to .NET 10. You will also contribute to manual testing where needed and help improve overall quality through scalable test coverage.

The role requires 6+ years in SDET or QA, strong framework design skills, and experience with Playwright, REST APIs, and CI/CD.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in SDET, Test Automation, or QA engineering.
• Strong experience designing automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with Playwright or similar modern test automation tools.
• Experience testing web applications built with .NET, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience validating REST APIs, integrations, and backend services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Experience working with Git-based repositories, Jira, and Agile development teams.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and defect management.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
• Create automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Collaborate with developers and QA to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Participate in manual testing to ensure full coverage of modernized apps.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document software defects and quality issues.
• Validate upgrades, dependencies, and compatibility changes during modernization.
• Execute test automation against web apps, APIs, and supporting services.
• Analyze test results, provide quality metrics, and communicate risks.
• Promote test automation best practices across development squads.
