GIGA IT is seeking a semi-senior Ruby on Rails developer to join a global events technology team. You will build and evolve Rails applications, implement Kafka-based asynchronous flows, and design scalable APIs deployed on AWS.

You will work with enterprise systems like Salesforce and Sage ERP, write tests with RSpec, and collaborate with US-based teams in an Agile environment. Remote-friendly with flexible hours and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Solid, recent Ruby on Rails experience at a semisenior level.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Experience with Kafka or event-driven architectures.
• Experience with enterprise applications or products, evolving existing applications.
• Fluent English, able to work directly with US-based teams.
• Testing with RSpec and Agile methodologies.

Responsabilités

• Build and evolve business logic, models, migrations and APIs in an existing Rails application.
• Implement event producers and consumers with Apache Kafka for asynchronous flows between services.
• Design scalable APIs for the mobile app ecosystem and deploy on AWS infrastructure.
• Build resilient integration layers with Salesforce and Sage ERP.
• Write unit and integration tests (RSpec) and deliver feature increments in Agile sprints.
• Estimate story points, design technical tasks and safeguard system performance and API stability.
• Collaborate with Product, QA and the client's internal team in an integrated working model.
