Endava in Colombia is seeking an experienced Software Developer to design and implement technical solutions for applications of medium to high complexity. The role involves researching AI-driven solutions and collaborating with stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.

Ideal candidates should have over 5 years of experience in software development, strong knowledge of Ruby, and proficiency in Agile methodologies. The position fosters a collaborative environment and presents opportunities for career development through complex projects and training.

Responsibilities

• Designs, estimates, and implements technical solutions for medium/high complexity applications.
• Participates actively in all phases of the application development lifecycle.
• Collaborates with various project stakeholders to provide support for clarifying requirements, processes, architecture, and priorities.
• Research and propose AI‑driven solutions to accelerate the SDLC and address business challenges
• Recommends and promotes IT industry standards, tools, practices (DevOps, etc.) to achieve well‑engineered software products.
• Proposes improvements and escalates risks/issues related to development activities.
• Participates in the review of the work done by development team members.
• Learns and applies new technologies, practices, and tools as appropriate to the project.
• Participates in internal and external tech communities, events, etc.
• Shares experience and knowledge gained from projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong understanding of different common programming paradigms (OOP, Functional, etc.).
• Strong familiarity with design/architectural patterns and clean code principles(e.g. SOLID, GoF, MVVM) .
• Proficient in relevant programming languages, frameworks, and tools such as Ruby, Ruby version managers, Rails, Rspec.
• Nice to have: Ruby 3.0, Pry, Rubocop, Bundler (gem creation), Rake, Background Jobs, Ruby LSP. Other cross‑sectional libs: AWS suite, Auth Libs, Faraday, Tools for enabling observability, Ruby flavored
• Good understanding and practical experience in applying AI in the SDLC (spec‑driven development)
• Nice to have: Langchain, Langraph, or any other framework to build solutions powered by LLMs
• Practical experience in platform‑specific database systems and SQL.
• Good understanding of version control systems like Git or similar
• Solid experience with testing and mocking frameworks
• Familiar with common communication protocols and standards such as HTTP, REST, JSON, TCP/IP and others.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, KANBAN).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices
• Good problem‑solving skills and analytical thinking.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency.
