Job summary

Baxter Healthcare Dominican Republic site is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to bridge Research & Development with plant operations, leading design transfer and lifecycle management for new and existing products. You will guide technical decisions to improve quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and engineering teams, delivering documentation and using DOE, FMEA, SPC, and root-cause analysis to drive robust processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in product development, R&D, manufacturing engineering, or a related engineering environment.
• Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments and knowledge of GMP.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead design transfer activities for new product introductions and product sustainability initiatives, ensuring successful implementation into manufacturing operations.
• Partner with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and engineering teams to align product development objectives with business and customer needs.
• Drive product and process improvements through data-driven analysis, engineering best practices, and innovative problem-solving approaches.
• Manage technical deliverables within product lifecycle management and change control processes, ensuring projects progress efficiently from initiation through completion.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation to support product development, regulatory requirements, and project milestones.
• Apply engineering tools such as DOE, FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis to improve product performance and manufacturing robustness.
• Lead project teams, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a collaborative environment that supports innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.
