Sombra in Medellín, Colombia, is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own release quality for a web and mobile trading platform used by thousands of users. You will define acceptance criteria with product and engineering, manage the QA gate and staging, strengthen automated coverage, and ensure critical trading and payout flows remain production-ready.

Formación

• Proven experience as a QA Engineer with web and/or mobile products.
• Strong knowledge of trading markets and financial instruments.
• Hands-on experience building automated end-to-end test suites (Playwright, Cypress).
• Understanding of QA lifecycle, including test planning, regression execution, bug management, environment ownership, and release sign-off.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build/release workflows.
• Experience using Jira for bug tracking and release management.
• Strong written communication with clear bug reports and reproduction steps.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Own the QA gate for every release, validate acceptance criteria, and provide release sign-off.
• Build trading-domain knowledge into test coverage across asset classes.
• Execute end-to-end regression for release tickets and run production smoke tests.
• Own the staging environment, support UAT and data questions.
• Build and extend automated regression coverage for account creation, trading flows, payouts, and authentication.
• Integrate regression suites into CI pipelines and coordinate with developers on testability.
• File, triage, and prioritize bugs in Jira with clear reproduction steps.
• Maintain test plans, test cases, and environment notes as the QA reference.
• Use AI-assisted testing tools to improve coverage and speed with audit tagging.
