Job summary

Amadeus in Bogotá is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to design and execute automated tests, ensuring product quality before release. You’ll join an international QA team, define test strategies, write scripts, prepare environments, and provide go/no-go decisions based on defined criteria.

Strong English, automation expertise, and teamwork are essential as you contribute to continuous quality improvements across projects.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA or development.
• Automation frameworks practical knowledge (Robot Framework, Playwright).
• Programming skills: Python, TypeScript, Java, JS.
• Test management tools knowledge (Octane).
• GitHub repository knowledge.
• BDD practices knowledge.
• Visual Studio on the .Net framework knowledge.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Functional Skills Experience in an agile methodology.
• Good understanding of testing methodologies and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Attend specification/architecture reviews and provide feedback with impact, risk, or gaps.
• Define test strategy and test plan with functional and non-functional test cases.
• Design test cases and write test scripts.
• Prepare test environment and data and execute test cases.
• Provide sign-off on tested features based on exit criteria.
• Update regression tests as features are delivered and based on metrics.
• Deep dive into customer IRs, test fixes, and enrich test suites.
• Assess need to automate subsets of test scripts.
• Automate test cases using test automation framework and improve the framework.
• Provide reporting and escalate defects with severity.
• Coordinate testing activities with stakeholders and mentoring peers.
