Job summary

Coforge is hiring a Senior QA Engineer to design and execute comprehensive manual and automated testing across investor funding, payments, data flows, and system integrations. You will build AI-assisted testing solutions and automate with Python (pytest/Robot Framework) and Playwright.

The role requires 5+ years in QA, strong SQL, REST API testing, and CI/CD experience. Remote work from Colombia with US Eastern business hours is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience, both manual and automated.
• Hands-on with Python automation frameworks (pytest/Robot Framework).
• Strong Playwright experience with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Advanced SQL skills for data validation and reconciliation.
• Experience testing REST APIs with Postman or code-based tests.
• Experience implementing automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with performance/load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Locust).
• Experience testing responsive web apps across browsers/devices.
• Familiar with AI-powered testing tools in workflows.
• 3+ years in Agile/Scrum teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute manual and automated testing for investor funding, payment processing, data flows, and system integrations.
• Build and maintain automated test suites using Python (pytest, Robot Framework) and Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Validate REST APIs, file-based integrations, and data pipelines to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
• Write complex SQL queries to perform data validation, reconciliation, and defect investigation.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Execute performance and load testing to validate scalability and transaction processing capabilities.
• Test responsive web applications across browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
• Leverage AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to accelerate test development, maintenance, and analysis.
• Develop AI-assisted testing solutions and automation tools to improve quality engineering efficiency.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders throughout the Agile development lifecycle.
• Participate in Sprint Planning, Refinement, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Report, track, and validate defect resolution while providing quality metrics and testing insights to the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance covering both manual and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with Python automation frameworks such as pytest and/or Robot Framework.
• Strong experience with Playwright using TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Advanced SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, aggregations, and data validation techniques.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or code-based testing frameworks.
• Experience implementing and running automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or Locust.
• Experience testing responsive web applications across multiple browsers and devices.
• Practical experience using AI-powered tools in software testing workflows.
• 3+ years of experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work during US Eastern Time business hours.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in lending, loan servicing, payments, FinTech, or financial services domains.
• Experience building custom AI agents or tools utilizing LLM APIs.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience testing file-based integrations such as CSV, fixed-width files, and SFTP transfers.
• Knowledge of financial data accuracy, reconciliation processes, and compliance requirements.
• Experience working on long-term product teams in highly collaborative environments.
