Job summary

Join Devsu as a Senior Application Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable integration services, APIs, and automation that enable AI-powered business solutions. You will build enterprise connectors and middleware to securely orchestrate interactions between AI platforms and enterprise systems.

You will work with solution architects and product teams to define technical solutions, review designs, and ensure security, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python.
• Proven experience designing and delivering production REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of API design, authentication, authorization, and integration patterns.
• Experience building cloud-native applications and services.
• Knowledge of event-driven and service-oriented architectures.
• Hands-on with automated testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and production troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to understand business purpose and wider context behind technical requirements.
• Ability to identify assumptions, explain trade-offs, and propose alternatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and troubleshoot production REST APIs and integration services.
• Build and enhance MCP connectors and enterprise integration frameworks.
• Develop middleware services connecting AI platforms with enterprise data sources.
• Create automation to streamline business processes and AI-powered workflows.
• Collaborate with solution architects and product teams to define scalable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design sessions.
• Ensure solutions meet security, performance, reliability, and maintainability standards.
• Contribute to reusable frameworks and integration patterns.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to assist coding tasks.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues considering technical root causes and business impact.
