EPAM Systems in Colombia seeks a Senior Python Developer to join our team. You’ll build frontend components with React/TypeScript and robust backend services in Python, with GraphQL APIs powering data flows.

You’ll design schemas, optimize MySQL/PostgreSQL interactions, and deploy on AWS. Collaborate in agile ceremonies, participate in code reviews, and help steer technical direction across projects.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python for backend services, APIs, and business logic.
• Proficiency in ReactJS for dynamic UIs.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot to accelerate development.
• English B2+ with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Develop clean and interactive frontend components with React and TypeScript to support intuitive browsing, searching, and editing of vehicle catalog data
• Build and maintain backend services and GraphQL APIs primarily in Python to manage catalog data logic and business rules
• Design efficient GraphQL schemas and resolvers to ensure seamless data exchange between frontend and backend layers
• Model and optimize database interactions using MySQL or PostgreSQL for reliable storage and querying of vehicle catalog data
• Deploy and manage application components on AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, and API Gateway
• Contribute to end-to-end feature development, testing activities, and performance tuning across the stack
• Take part in architectural discussions, code reviews, and agile ceremonies to help shape technical direction

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• At least 3 years of professional relevant experience in software development
• Strong hands-on experience with Python for building backend services, APIs, and business logic
• Solid proficiency in ReactJS for developing dynamic and responsive user interfaces
• Practical experience using GitHub Copilot to accelerate development workflows and improve coding productivity
• English level B2 or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for deploying, scaling, and managing cloud-based applications
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions for automating CI/CD pipelines, builds, and deployments
• Hands-on knowledge of GraphQL for designing flexible and efficient APIs
• Experience with MySQL for relational database design, querying, and performance tuning
• Experience with PostgreSQL for managing structured data and advanced querying scenarios
• Familiarity with Relay as a GraphQL client for efficient data fetching in React applications
