Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Project Planner to lead the development and maintenance of the project master schedule using Oracle Primavera P6. The role requires coordinating with engineering, procurement and construction stakeholders and traveling to on-site locations outside Bogotá.

You will establish the project basis of schedule, apply resource loading, manage earned value, and produce weekly and monthly progress updates for the client.

Formación

• 10+ years experience in project controls, planning, and scheduling.
• Experience with master schedules using P6 and related inputs from design through close-out.
• Strong English and Spanish communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development and maintenance of the project master schedule in Oracle Primavera P6.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for accurate updates on engineering, procurement and construction.
• Prepare and maintain the Basis of Schedule; establish the project master schedule for EPC and commissioning.
• Apply resource loading for staffing plans; manage earned value and progress with S-curves.
• Coordinate progress tracking with GC and stakeholders; facilitate IPS sessions.
• Ensure schedule activities are coded by WBS and interface to controls systems.
• Establish the critical path and monitor/report; incorporate scope changes and trends.
• Provide weekly/bi-weekly/monthly plan vs actual and forecast mitigation inputs.

This role will need travel to on site job, outside Bogotá.

The Senior Project Planner role will involve leading the development and maintenance of the project master schedule in ORACLE Primavera P6 Software.

The Candidate's role will primarily include the following activities:

• Collaboration with key stakeholders for accurate and timely updates on the projects engineering, procurement and construction phases, will be key to the project's success.
• Prepare and maintain the project Basis of Schedule
• Establish and manage the project master schedule for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases
• Apply resource loading for establishing optimal crew/staffing plans.
• Calculate and manage Earned Value KPIS and progress tracking with S curves.
• Learn and implement the scheduling specifications and processes of the owner.
• Coordinate project progress tracking with the GC and relevant stakeholders for all project milestones.
• Must be an expert in ORACLE Primavera P6.
• Ensure the project schedule activities are coded by the project work breakdown structure and interface to the controls systems for progress / forecast updates and analysis.
• Facilitate IPS's (Interactive Planning Sessions) for the project with discipline leads, vendors and client inputs.
• Establish the project critical path and continue to analyse, monitor and report throughout the project.
• Incorporate any required scope changes and trends into project schedule.
• Provide an Analysis of impacts / deviations and propose mitigation measures.
• Provide client an internal weekly, bi-weekly/monthly reporting inputs of plan vs actual and any forecast mitigation strategies.
• Comply with relevant Owner policies and procedures and work within legal and regulatory frameworks.

Experience:

• 10+ years experience in project controls, planning, and scheduling.
• Development of detailed project plans from the Master Schedule using P6 software. Also, Manage key inputs including task lists, logic, milestones, resources, from design phases through to construction & project close-out.
• Monitor trends and analyse schedule impacts with the project team.
• Prepare status reports.
• Ensure standards, formats and timeframes are maintained.
• Adjust the schedule if and when required and report all discrepancies against the baseline.

The Candidate should be able to independently travel to site (by car) Location: Queretaro.

Education/Qualifications/Core abilities:

• Degrees and/or professional licenses in Architectural/Civil/Electrical/Production Engineering.
• Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills in Spanish and English.
• Strong Project planning, scheduling, and project execution experience is essential.
• Experience with Large Scale or Mission Critical projects in a consulting engineering capacity.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
• Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Scheduler experience.
• Experienced and competent with Primavera (P6) products.
• Experienced and competent with Microsoft Office products.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work with diverse groups, from top level executive to field foreman.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal in English and Spanish.
• Shows strong problem-solving skills and can work independently as well as strong team player.
