Dalberg Bogotá seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams on complex global development projects and to shape strategy and delivery for clients around the world.

Based in Bogotá with a strong track record at leading international firms, you will coordinate multi-workstream programs, mentor staff, and drive impact while champions smart use of AI and data-driven insights.

Salary:

The monthly compensation for this role is $31,250,000 COP. Our salary structure is designed to be in line with that of non-profit and social impact organizations, reflecting our dedication to social impact work. This is distinct from management consultancies, which predominantly cater to commercial clients.

Requirements for Senior Project Managers:
  • 6+ years framing and solving strategic problems with evidence, including 2+ years managing teams at a leading international management or strategy consultancy, with a consistent record of strong performance
  • Command of the consulting toolkit: you can scope a problem, structure the analysis, and pressure-test your own conclusions
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Clear, structured communication in writing and out loud, whether you're briefing a minister or coaching an associate
  • Initiative in an entrepreneurial setting where the path isn't defined for you
  • An MBA, MPA/MPP, or PhD with a strong academic record
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish, spoken and written

What You Will Do and How You Will Grow

Senior Project Managers are resourceful team leaders who manage the critical thinking and analytical horse power that drives teams. As the link between junior team members and Dalberg management, Senior Project Managers deliver creative ideas and results for our clients worldwide managing multiple projects at the same time.

With a combination of analytical skills and social acumen, Senior Project Managers are savvy communicators who simplify complex findings, develop insightful recommendations, and structure communications that promote constructive dialogues with diverse stakeholders in the public sector, private sector, civil society, and international communities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Take accountability for the quality of client deliverables
  • Manage relationships with clients and other stakeholders, often serving as the first point of contact for content questions and logistics
  • Provide guidance to team members at all stages of the project; maintain responsibility for project budgets and timelines
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and contribute to thought leadership initiatives in order to generate new business engagements
  • Actively contribute to Dalberg's firm-building initiatives

Interview Process:

Candidate applications will be considered on a rolling basis. Candidates selected for interviews will be invited for 1-3 interviews to test analytical and conceptual thinking skills through consulting case questions, a presentation writing assignment, and a behavioral interview to discuss interests, cultural alignment, and answer candidate questions. Required
  • 6+ years framing and solving strategic problems with evidence, in social impact consulting, international development, public sector delivery, philanthropy, or other mission-driven organizations
  • At least 2 of those years in management or strategy consulting, with direct responsibility for managing people, workstreams, or teams
  • Command of the consulting toolkit, meaning you can scope a problem, structure the analysis, and pressure-test your own conclusions
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis, with the ability to turn evidence into practical decisions
  • Experience running multi-workstream programs: standing up project and performance management systems, coordinating delivery with clients and partners, and adjusting plans as conditions change on the ground
  • Clear, structured communication in writing and out loud, with audiences ranging from senior officials to junior team members
  • A record of building trust with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, partners, and field teams
  • Initiative and sound judgment in entrepreneurial, fast-paced settings where the path isn't defined for you
  • A clear commitment to domestic and/or international development, shown through prior work on issues such as economic development, global health, education, climate, gender equity, justice, mobility, or financial inclusion
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Policy, International Relations, Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, Education, Social Entrepreneurship, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Professional level fluency in English and Spanish, spoken and written
Preferred
  • Experience working across cultural and geographic contexts, particularly time spent in low- and middle-income communities
  • Judgment about political, cultural, and institutional dynamics in complex environments
  • Comfort learning and utilizing generative-AI systems responsibly and interested in the social and environmental impacts of the expansion of AI
  • Fluency in additional languages
  • Familiarity with delivery approaches and tools such as Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma, or Jira
  • Established networks in the regions where you'd work
