Job summary

Golder Associates Ltd. in Colombia seeks a skilled Project Accountant to provide financial support and advisory to Project Managers across multiple projects.

You will set up projects in financial systems, monitor costs, and ensure revenue and cost reporting align with contractual terms. The role requires strong English, a finance background, and extensive experience with project accounting processes, including invoicing, WIP, and month-end close.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably project-based.
• Excellent English skills and a finance background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up project in financial systems, including funding, revenue recognition, bill plans, and billing controls.
• Provide project pricing support (bill rates, overhead allowances).
• Review project setup and change orders in financial systems (WBS, budgets, margins).
• Maintain certificates of insurance and subcontractor reporting; identify unallowable costs.
• Ensure accurate project financial reporting per commercial authorization.
• Monitor project costs and recognized revenue, including labour breakage and overruns.
• Support monthly financial reviews and gains/losses projections.
• Monitor DSO, unbilled costs, WIP, and AR per contract terms.
• Reconcile project financials at closeout and weekly labour transactions across BST Colombia and Horizon.
