Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior Platform Security Engineer (IAM/Authorization) to design and maintain high‑performance access control across our distributed platform. You will translate complex policies into scalable implementations and ensure secure, low-latency authorization services worldwide.

You will architect scalable IAM solutions, build authorization models, and develop core tooling while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to enforce secure-by-default API patterns.

Senior Platform Security Engineer (IAM / Authorization) at BairesDev

As a Senior Platform Security Engineer specializing in IAM and Authorization, you will design, build, and maintain high-performance access control systems to secure our core platform. You will translate complex security policies into scalable technical implementations, ensuring secure and reliable authorization services across our distributed system architecture.

What You'll Do

• Architect and deploy highly scalable identity and access management solutions across the platform.
• Build and optimize fine-grained authorization systems and access control models.
• Develop shared security libraries, authentication middleware, and robust platform tooling.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate secure-by-default API patterns and architectural standards.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and low-latency execution of global authorization services.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Security, IAM, or related software engineering roles.
• Proven expertise with Relationship-Based Access Control (ReBAC) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models.
• Hands-on experience with Google Zanzibar-inspired authorization systems such as SpiceDB or Auth0 FGA.
• Strong proficiency in building core platform tooling, including auth middleware and shared security libraries.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture and API-first design principles.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
