MAS Global Consulting is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own and govern a Snowflake-based data platform. You will lead RBAC redesign, data masking, and governance, while operating provisioning, access control, and service lifecycle in a fast-moving, AI-enabled engineering culture.

You will collaborate with analysts and engineers to support analytics and AI workloads, and contribute to self-service automation and robust documentation to hand off work after engagement ends.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in data platform, platform engineering, or data engineering roles.
• Solid, hands-on Snowflake experience (required), including RBAC, data masking/governance, and compute management.
• Experience operating production platforms with elevated privileges, with good judgment about the impact of changes.
• Working knowledge of SQL and Python (AI-assisted coding is part of the team's workflow).
• Experience with triage, incident response, and working from runbooks someone else wrote.
• Advanced English (B2/C1) is mandatory, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Maintain and improve self-service automation for access provisioning, pipeline failure handling, and platform health.
• Support analytics, ML, and AI workloads that run on the platform, collaborating with analysts and teams.
• Write clear documentation and async updates so work hands back to the full team smoothly.

Who You Are

You are a Senior Platform Engineer with deep, hands-on Snowflake experience. You know how to run and govern an analytical data platform that many teams rely on. You are a generalist at heart: comfortable across data platform, access control, governance, and operations, and able to join an existing platform mid-stream and contribute on your own within the first few weeks. You work well in a fast-moving, AI-friendly engineering culture, communicate clearly in writing, and enjoy supporting the analysts and engineers who build on your platform.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to foundational Snowflake work, including the redesign of the role-based access control (RBAC) framework and the rollout of PII masking and data governance.
• Operate and extend existing platform capabilities (provisioning, access control, and service lifecycle) following the patterns the team has already set.
• Handle business-hours triage: look into data replication issues, review permission requests managed through Terraform (IaC), and troubleshoot stored procedures and tasks using established runbooks.
• Maintain and improve self-service automation for access provisioning, pipeline failure handling, and platform health.
• Support the analytics, ML, and AI workloads that run on the platform, working closely with the analysts and teams who use it.
• Write clear documentation and async updates so work hands back to the full team smoothly at the end of the engagement.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in data platform, platform engineering, or data engineering roles.
• Solid, hands-on Snowflake experience (required), including RBAC, data masking/governance, and compute management. Experience with other data warehouses alone won't be enough.
• Experience operating production platforms with elevated privileges, with good judgment about the impact of changes.
• Working knowledge of SQL and Python (AI-assisted coding is part of the team's workflow).
• Experience with triage, incident response, and working from runbooks someone else wrote.
• Advanced English (B2/C1) is mandatory, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (Buildkite, GitHub Actions, or similar) and containerized deployments.
• Background in data analytics, or experience supporting analyst users.
• Experience with semantic layers, compute platforms, or AI/ML analytics infrastructure.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, OAuth/OIDC, secrets management, and SSO patterns.
