Job summary

Audubon Colombia is seeking an experienced Senior Pipeline Mapping Specialist to support U.S.-based Oil & Gas pipeline engineering projects. You will develop high-quality mapping and drafting deliverables using Bentley MicroStation CONNECT Edition and Open Roads Designer, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate is self-driven, communicates effectively in English, and can quickly integrate into active projects with minimal onboarding.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Geomatics Engineering, Geodesy, Surveying Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience supporting Oil & Gas pipeline mapping or engineering projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Bentley MicroStation CONNECT Edition and Bentley Open Roads Designer.
• Experience producing plan and profile drawings, alignment sheets, construction exhibits, and pipeline mapping deliverables.
• Experience interpreting survey data, engineering drawings, legal descriptions, easements, and right-of-way documentation.
• English proficiency at B2+ to C1.

Responsibilities

• Develop pipeline mapping deliverables using MicroStation CONNECT Edition and Open Roads Designer.
• Prepare alignment sheets, plan and profile drawings, construction exhibits, permit exhibits, and other mapping deliverables.
• Interpret survey data, engineering drawings, GIS information, aerial imagery, LiDAR datasets, and ROW documentation.
• Integrate CAD, GIS, survey, and engineering information into accurate mapping products.
• Perform quality control reviews to ensure compliance with company and client standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering, survey, GIS, environmental, and ROW teams.
• Participate in technical meetings with U.S.-based project teams in English.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting quality standards and project schedules.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop pipeline mapping deliverables using MicroStation CONNECT Edition and Open Roads Designer
• Prepare alignment sheets, plan and profile drawings, construction exhibits, permit exhibits, and other engineering mapping deliverables
• Interpret survey data, engineering drawings, GIS information, aerial imagery, LiDAR datasets, and right-of-way documentation

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Professional degree in Geomatics Engineering, Geodesy, Surveying Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience supporting Oil & Gas pipeline mapping or engineering projects
• Advanced proficiency in Bentley MicroStation CONNECT Edition and Bentley Open Roads Designer
• Experience producing plan and profile drawings, alignment sheets, construction exhibits, and pipeline mapping deliverables
• Experience interpreting survey data, engineering drawings, legal descriptions, easements, and right-of-way documentation
• Strong understanding of coordinate systems, geodetic datums, and survey integration
• English proficiency at B2+ to C1
• Ability to independently support active U.S. projects with minimal supervision
• Experience supporting U.S.-based EPC or engineering companies is preferred
• Experience with Bentley ProjectWise, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and integrating GIS, CAD, survey, and LiDAR datasets is preferred
• Knowledge of Global Mapper or FME, ArcGIS Pro or QGIS, and CAD/GIS automation tools such as Python, VBA, or similar is preferred
