Bluelight is seeking a seasoned backend-focused software engineer to join its rapidly growing team. You will design and develop high-quality APIs, ensure low-latency performance in AWS, and work across the stack when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience with scalable RESTful APIs and SDK integrations.
• Proficient with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB and writing/optimizing SQL.
• Hands-on with multi-tenant security and data isolation.
• Ability to overlap US business hours and own deliverables.
• Bachelor's degree required and ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality backend services and APIs.
• Build scalable, low-latency RESTful interfaces in AWS.
• Integrate SDKs and manage data access with PostgreSQL.
• Contribute to frontend work when needed and perform testing.
• Ensure security, multi-tenant isolation, and robust migrations.
