Job summary

Bluelight is a leading software consultancy seeking a senior backend engineer to design and deliver scalable API services. You will work with Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS to build low-latency systems, integrate services, and ensure secure multi-tenant deployments.

You will contribute to PostgreSQL-based data models, manage migrations, and collaborate with frontend teams when needed. A strong focus on quality, testing, and client impact is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software development experience (backend-focused).
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience building low-latency API services in AWS.
• Experience building scalable RESTful APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB including RLS.
• Secure multi-tenant environments and schema migrations.
• Proficient with React and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
