Job summary

Turing is seeking a Senior ML & Data Engineer focused on Data Quality & Sensitive Data Compliance. You will own validation, de-identification, and auditing pipelines, building models to detect sensitive entities and ensure consistent replacements across large text and image datasets.

The role is full-time and remote, open to Brazil or Colombia, with opportunities to work on enterprise-grade data across diverse industries, emphasizing data integrity and privacy controls.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years hands-on machine learning experience as your primary background.
• Strong Python for ML development and data validation (pytest, Great Expectations, Pandera, or similar).
• Solid SQL and experience validating data across pipeline stages.
• Experience building and testing ML-based detection systems (NER or similar).

Responsibilities

• Run deep dives into enterprise data to assess quality across connectors, domain depth, completeness, and consistency.
• Design and automate validation suites for data pipelines—schema checks, completeness, drift detection, reconciliation across stages.
• Surface and characterize quality issues for engineering and product action.
• Design, train, and evaluate ML models that detect sensitive entities across text and image data.
• Build replacement pipelines to map detected entities to consistent replacements across files.
• Run these algorithms over large data volumes to prepare data for downstream tasks.
• Implement regression gates in CI/CD so data quality and sensitive-data checks always pass.
