Engagement: Full-Time Independent Contractor
Schedule: Monday–Friday, US business calendar and US Eastern business hours
Annual Compensation: USD $46,000–$71,000 (approximately COP $146,250,000–$225,000,000)

Split Rocket is a full‑service e‑commerce marketing agency helping brands grow from $5–10M to $20M+ in annual revenue. We manage paid media across Meta, Google, and TikTok for multiple e‑commerce brands.
The Role
We're hiring a Senior Media Buyer who thinks like a growth operator, not just a platform specialist. You'll own strategy, execution, and profitability for a portfolio of e‑commerce accounts, including $200K+ in combined monthly ad spend, revenue and contribution‑margin forecasts, measurement, testing, and client growth strategy.
You’ll report to our Chief Execution Officer and mentor one or two junior media buyers. You must be based in Latin America, Europe, or Canada and available during US Eastern business hours.
Fluent professional English (C1 or C2, or equivalent) is required. You must confidently lead client calls, explain performance, and present recommendations entirely in English.
Profitable Growth, Not Just ROAS
Our clients are typically $5–20M e‑commerce brands. Your responsibility is to grow them profitably by:
- Managing MER, new‑customer CAC, contribution margin after ad spend, and cash payback—not just platform ROAS.
- Understanding COGS, AOV, LTV, discounts, and return rates; setting spend ceilings based on margin and cash flow.
- Forecasting revenue and contribution margin to support budget recommendations.
- Using geo holdouts, lift studies, and other tests to assess incrementality.
- Explaining when to scale, hold, or reduce spend with evidence.
Key Responsibilities
Media Buying & Performance
- Build monthly spend and revenue forecasts; manage daily pacing and adjust when results drift.
- Plan, launch, and optimize Meta and Google campaigns (Search, Shopping, PMax, YouTube); work with TikTok where relevant.
- Own ROAS, CPA, CPL, MER, budgets, audiences, bids, placements, and creative rotation.
- Find profitable opportunities to expand channels and account budgets.
Testing & Creative
- Run structured tests across creative, offers, landing pages, audiences, and bidding strategies.
- Analyze campaign history and brief creative teams on what works.
- Design and interpret A/B tests, lift studies, and incrementality experiments.
Clients, Measurement & Team
- Send concise daily client updates, lead weekly strategy calls, and present monthly performance reports.
- Own GA4, Meta CAPI, server‑side tracking, pixels, UTMs, attribution checks, and Shopify revenue reconciliation.
- Build dashboards and forecasts from reliable source data.
- Mentor junior buyers and contribute lessons and playbooks to the team.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands‑on media buying, primarily paid social or paid search.
- Personally managed combined ad budgets above USD $200,000/month across multiple accounts or brands.
- Deep proficiency in both Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads.
- Demonstrated ability to forecast spend, revenue, and ROAS accurately using historical data.
- Track record of scaling campaigns while maintaining or improving profitability.
- Advanced Sheets/Excel, GA4, and dashboard/reporting skills.
- Advanced spoken and written English (C1/C2 or equivalent) for independent client‑facing work.
- Strong organization, ownership, root‑cause problem solving, and ability to manage multiple accounts.
- Availability during US Eastern business hours, following the US business calendar.
Technical Skills (Required)
- Configure and troubleshoot GA4, Meta CAPI, server‑side tracking, UTMs, and Shopify revenue reconciliation.
- Build reports from source data using Sheets/Excel pivots, QUERY, lookups, and modeling; Looker Studio or equivalent.
- Design defensible geo holdouts, lift studies, and A/B tests using appropriate sample sizes and statistical confidence.
- Use AI and automation for reporting, bulk account operations, and creative iteration.
- Work with Shopify and analytics inputs such as Triple Whale, Northbeam, or Klaviyo.
Nice to Have
- TikTok Ads and LinkedIn Ads experience.
- E‑commerce/DTC and Shopify experience; agency account management.
- Creative strategy, UGC, or ad copywriting; experience mentoring junior buyers.
- SQL knowledge.
