ScotiaGBS in Bogota seeks a Senior Manager - Business Enablement to oversee AML operations, workforce planning, and strategic initiatives. You will drive governance across workforce, budget, and processes while coordinating change management activities with regional leadership.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on compliance with AML/KYC policies, with limited international travel.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Business Enablement activities across Global AML and the Colombia Hub, aligning workforce, financial, operational and strategic priorities with objectives.
• Own workforce planning and staffing governance, including complement management, organizational design, recruiting support, succession planning, contract management, and capacity planning.
• Manage budget planning, forecasting, expense monitoring, and financial reporting with Finance and leadership teams.
• Lead business continuity planning (BCP) and resiliency initiatives to ensure continuity of critical AML functions.
• Coordinate planning, execution, stakeholder engagement, and change management for regionalization and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and deliver executive reporting and analytics on workforce, financial, operational, and strategic initiatives.

Purpose

Provides quality execution of job requirements associated with the operations of AML in GBS Bogota ensuring activities and recommendations are following relevant regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

• Lead Business Enablement activities across Global AML and the Colombia Hub, ensuring alignment of workforce, financial, operational, and strategic priorities with organizational objectives.
• Own workforce planning and staffing governance, including complement management, organizational design, recruiting support, succession planning, contract management, and capacity planning to ensure adequate resourcing across AML functions.
• Manage budget planning, forecasting, expense monitoring, and financial reporting activities, partnering with Finance and leadership teams to ensure effective budget utilization and variance management.
• Lead business continuity planning (BCP) and operational resiliency initiatives, ensuring preparedness and continuity of critical AML functions.
• Support regionalization, organizational transformation, and strategic initiatives by coordinating planning, execution, stakeholder engagement, and change management activities.
• Develop and deliver executive reporting and analytics on workforce, financial, operational, and strategic initiatives to support informed decision-making and business planning.
• Drive organizational effectiveness through governance frameworks, performance monitoring, continuous improvement initiatives, and resource optimization strategies.
• Lead and support strategic projects, enterprise initiatives, and policy changes by applying project management methodologies, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, monitoring deliverables, and ensuring successful implementation.
• Oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of business processes, operating procedures, governance documentation, and process flows to ensure alignment with AML/ATF policies, Enterprise-Wide AML/KYC standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
• Partner with Global AML leadership to plan and execute communication and engagement strategies, including town halls, leadership visits, employee engagement initiatives, organizational communications, and culture-building activities.
• Identifies opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness, workforce management, operating model design, employee experience, and business performance.
• Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative environment through talent development, coaching, succession planning, leadership support, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with the Bank's risk appetite, governance standards, compliance requirements, and internal policies, while promoting a strong risk and control culture throughout the organization.

Education / Experience / Other Information

Title (University Degree) with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in AML, Compliance and/or Audit Capability in a major financial institution; or equivalent in education and years of experience. In addition, it is required:

• Ability to build strong cross-functional business relationships.
• Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency without compromising compliance requirements.
• Advanced problem-solving skills to deal with complex operational issues, across all functions.
• Demonstrates integrity when working with colleagues and guides others by setting an example of the required behaviors.
• Solid knowledge of Scotiabank Group Anti-Money Laundering and KYC policies and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of handling difficult conversations.
• High customer focus and high-risk management approach
• Strong negotiation and analysis skills to coordinate and present and/or review proposals to/from clients and partners.
• Previous experience in an AML, audit or compliance role is an asset.
• Results-oriented, highly motivated with a great ability to influence others.
• Self-sufficient and proactive approach to work
• Solid knowledge of Canadian AML/AFT regulations and the regulatory reporting framework
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience in supervising large diverse teams and coaching skills.
• Receives direction from the Director and other senior executives as appropriate on significant legal, regulatory, and reputational risk and policy matters.

Working conditions

The work in a standard office-based environment, standard and non-standard business hours are frequent. Computer, monitor, and auxiliary system are used for daily activities and communication with business partners, regulators and customers. Limited travel internationally.
