You will build batch processing with Spring Batch, work with Oracle Database, apply Flyway migrations, manage CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, and contribute to architecture while embracing SOLID and clean code principles; familiarity with LLM tooling is a plus.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions for enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern Java technologies, Spring Framework, batch processing, relational databases, CI/CD practices, and software engineering best practices. This role also requires leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) to improve development efficiency, code quality, and technical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java 17+ and Spring Framework technologies
• Develop and optimize batch processing solutions using Spring Batch, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
• Build and maintain data access layers and SQL logic using Oracle Database
• Manage database schema changes and version control through Flyway
• Utilize Bitbucket for source code management, pull requests, and code reviews
• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Apply SOLID principles and clean code practices to ensure code quality and maintainability
• Leverage prompt engineering techniques and LLMs such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini to support development and troubleshooting activities
• Track and manage requirements, tasks, and deliverables using Jira
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to architectural and technical decisions

Requirements and Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java 17 or higher
• Proven experience with Spring Framework and Spring Batch (2.x or higher)
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle Database
• Experience with database migration and versioning tools, preferably Flyway
• Proficiency with Bitbucket for source code management and collaborative development
• Solid experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Strong understanding and practical application of SOLID principles and clean code practices
• Experience using prompt engineering techniques with LLMs such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini
• Experience using Jira for demand tracking and task management

Nice to Have

• Experience or knowledge of DB2
• Familiarity with COBOL and Mainframe environments
• Experience with IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS)
• Experience using WinSCP for secure file transfers
• Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments
