Movate is seeking an AI Red Team Staff Software Engineer in Colombia to drive security engineering at the frontier of AI, offensive security, and software supply chain defense. You will leverage advanced AI models and tooling to identify and remediate risks across products, codebases, and infrastructure.

The role emphasizes full-stack design, scalable Java microservices, cloud-native architectures, and secure software delivery with CI/CD practices. Fluency in English is required.

Formación

• 6–8 years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and/or microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using modern web technologies.
• Work across the entire software development lifecycle – from concept and design to testing and deployment.
• Build and optimize Java, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems to enhance performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain React/Angular front-end applications, ensuring seamless UI/UX experiences.
• Implement back-end logic using Java,
• Work with cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Integrate and optimize databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) for efficient data management.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Ensure security, performance, and maintainability of applications through best coding practices.
• Continuously improve the development process through automation, CI/CD pipelines, and testing strategies

Role Overview:

As an AI Red Team Staff Software Engineer, you will help shape a high-impact security engineering capability at the intersection of frontier AI, offensive application security, and software supply chain defense. You will use advanced AI models, techniques, and security tooling to discover, validate, and help remediate meaningful risks across our products, codebases, infrastructure, and dependencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using modern web technologies.
• Work across the entire software development lifecycle – from concept and design to testing and deployment.
• Build and optimize Java, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems to enhance performance and scalability.
• Develop and maintain React/Angular front-end applications, ensuring seamless UI/UX experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6 to 8 years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and/or microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps culture is a plus.
• A passion for open-source technologies and secure software development.
• Advanced English (B2+)

Desirable Certifications:

• SANS: GSEC, GCIH, GCLD, GCID, GMON
