Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design and evolve production web systems with ownership across frontend and backend services. You will shape technical design, improve reliability, and collaborate across teams to deliver accessible experiences.

The role requires building React UI features with TypeScript, implementing Kotlin-based backend services, and working with gRPC/protobuf, REST, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and AWS within CI/CD environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-stack web engineering experience shipping production systems.

Responsibilities

• Design full-stack solutions that ship reliably to production
• Build TypeScript and React UI features with accessible patterns and solid state management
• Implement backend services using Kotlin on the JVM and shared platform libraries where appropriate
• Define and maintain service interfaces using gRPC/protobuf and REST endpoints
• Model and optimize data in DynamoDB and PostgreSQL to support product features
• Improve performance across browser runtime, service latency, and data access paths
• Ensure quality with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and clear release criteria
• Operate effectively within AWS, containers, and CI/CD workflows to deliver changes safely
• Evaluate trade-offs for caching, queues, and eventual consistency in distributed systems
• Lead technical design discussions and drive cross-team alignment on architecture
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement pragmatic fixes and preventative measures
