Job summary

FitNext Consulting is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to take features from architecture through production. You will work across the stack with a backend emphasis, shipping independently and using advanced AI-assisted development workflows.

The role involves API development, distributed systems, and ownership of deployment, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, and cloud environments, in a remote LATAM context.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering with backend and full-stack delivery experience.
• Strong foundations in system architecture, distributed systems, and API development.
• Hands-on production experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
• Proficient in Python/FastAPI and TypeScript/Node.js stacks.
• Experience using Claude Code or Codex for agentic development workflows and AI-assisted coding.

• Develop reliable APIs and contribute to scalable distributed systems.

We’re partnering with an early-stage B2B SaaS company building an AI-powered sales and marketing platform. Following strong early traction, the company is developing a self-serve product designed to help salespeople and marketers work more effectively.

You’ll join a small senior engineering team, working directly with the co-founders to build core product capabilities and shape technical decisions.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with strong backend expertise who can take features from architecture through production deployment.

This role combines product development, backend architecture, and hands-on infrastructure ownership. You should be comfortable working across the stack, shipping independently, and using advanced AI-assisted development workflows while maintaining sound engineering judgment.

The stack includes Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship product features end-to-end, with a primary focus on backend services and architecture.
• Develop reliable APIs and contribute to scalable distributed systems.
• Contribute to user-facing functionality and integrations across the full stack.
• Own deployment and infrastructure needs, including CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
• Take responsibility for your work from technical design through production operation.
• Build and use agentic development workflows with tools such as Claude Code and Codex.
• Review, test, and correct AI-generated code to maintain quality and reliability.
• Collaborate directly with the founding team on architecture, priorities, and delivery.

Must Have

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with strong backend expertise and full-stack delivery capabilities.
• Strong engineering fundamentals across system architecture, distributed systems, and API development.
• Hands-on production experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
• Ability to contribute across a Python/FastAPI and TypeScript/Node.js stack.
• Advanced experience using Claude Code or Codex for agentic development workflows beyond autocomplete.
• Ability to independently evaluate, debug, and improve AI-generated code.
• A track record of shipping products to real users at technology product companies; experience limited to consulting or internal enterprise IT does not meet this requirement.
• Based in LATAM.
• Availability for the stated 996 work schedule.

Nice to Have

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, AWS, and GCP.
• Experience building custom agentic development systems on top of Claude Code or Codex.
• Previous founder experience, including launching a product with real customers.
• Competitive programming experience, such as ICPC or national competitions.
• An active GitHub profile with meaningful contributions or reviewable production-quality code.
• Recognized academic achievements, government-funded scholarships, or merit-based offers or internships at leading technology companies.
