EPAM is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Java Developer to strengthen backend services with Java Spring Boot while supporting Angular frontends across legacy and modern codebases. The role emphasizes refactoring, dependency upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and continuous modernization.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience, strong Java/Spring Boot, Angular (8+), TypeScript, REST APIs, HTML/CSS, and solid English skills. Exposure to Veracode or SonarQube is a plus.

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Java Developer with strong backend expertise and working knowledge of Angular to support the ongoing maintenance and modernization of enterprise Gateway applications. The role is primarily backend-focused while contributing to multiple Angular frontends spanning legacy and modern frameworks. The ideal candidate enjoys improving existing applications through refactoring, dependency upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and continuous modernization rather than greenfield development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java Spring Boot backend services
• Support Angular-based applications, including both legacy Angular 8 and modern Angular 18 codebases
• Resolve security vulnerabilities identified by Veracode and address CAST code quality findings
• Implement bug fixes, refactoring, dependency upgrades, and framework updates
• Improve application performance, maintainability, and security
• Participate in code reviews and follow secure software development practices
• Collaborate with technical leads, QA engineers, architects, and security teams
• Investigate and resolve production issues while maintaining high engineering standards

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Experience developing and maintaining Angular applications, with Angular 8+ preferred
• Solid knowledge of TypeScript, RxJS, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and REST APIs
• Experience working with enterprise applications and maintaining existing codebases
• Familiarity with application modernization, dependency upgrades, and framework migrations
• Experience addressing security vulnerabilities and code quality findings using tools such as Veracode, CAST, SonarQube, or similar
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive ownership mindset
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic enterprise environment with multiple concurrent priorities
• Excellent English proficiency (B2 level or higher)
