Truelogic, a nearshore tech partner, is hiring a senior front-end engineer to build a new headless front-end for a premier news site. You will shape architecture, set standards, and collaborate with AI-assisted workflows for a high-visibility product.

You bring 5+ years in production front-end, strong React/Next.js, TypeScript, and experience with headless CMS. This role is 100% remote with USD compensation and opportunities to work with top U.S. companies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior front-end ownership on production systems.
• Strong React & Next.js experience with SSR/SSG/ISR and App Router.
• Proficient in TypeScript and API integrations with headless CMS.
• Performance-driven mindset focusing on Core Web Vitals and accessibility.
• Experience with AI-assisted workflows in engineering.
• Excellent written and spoken English for collaboration with US teams.

Job Summary

You will be one of the senior engineers building a new headless front-end for one of the most visited news sites in the world. The team has an aggressive goal of launching a first page early next year. You will shape the architecture, set front-end standards, and work with AI-assisted workflows in the news media industry.

Responsibilities

• Architect & Build: Lead the design and implementation of a modern, headless front-end architecture for a high-traffic news platform reaching millions globally.
• Ship High-Impact Milestones: Drive the timely execution of key front-end releases to meet ambitious, fast-paced launch goals early next year.
• Establish Technical Excellence: Define and advocate front-end engineering standards across code quality, component design patterns, testing, and code reviews.
• Optimize Web Performance: Direct ownership of Core Web Vitals, SEO, accessibility (a11y), and page speed performance for all user-facing surfaces.
• Modern Integration: Integrate scalable headless CMS solutions with next-generation in-house backend APIs.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor mid-level engineers and partner closely with engineering leadership to drive architectural direction.
• AI-Driven Innovation: Leverage and continuously refine AI-assisted and agentic workflows within the engineering lifecycle.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• 5+ Years Experience: Senior-level front-end ownership on production systems.
• React & Next.js: Strong production experience with SSR, SSG, ISR, and App Router.
• TypeScript: Fluent in writing clean, type-safe TypeScript as the main language.
• Headless CMS & APIs: Proven experience connecting front-ends with headless CMS and APIs.
• Performance at Scale: Strong grasp of Core Web Vitals, CDNs, caching, and asset optimization.
• AI-First Workflows: Daily usage of AI coding tools and agentic workflows.
• Fluent English: Professional English for daily work with a US team.
