Aspire Jordan is seeking a senior Front-end Engineer in Colombia to build complex, data-driven email templates and modular components. You will consume data from APIs, implement Velocity-based templates, and work within a modern design-system-driven workflow.

You should be a strong front-end engineer, not an email-first developer, with experience translating Figma designs into reusable code and localizing templates for many locales. Collaboration with design systems and CI/CD is expected.

Formación

• Senior-level execution in complex build projects with front-end focus.
• Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering (5+ yrs) or Master’s with 3+ yrs experience.
• Recent role should be Software Engineer with a front-end focus.
• Prefer strong front-end engineering over email-only roles.
• Expertise in Velocity JS (vlt) and Velocity macros.
• Proficient with Git, CLI, and common IDEs.
• Experience building scalable design systems and reusable components.
• Experience with API integration and dynamic content.
• Ability to localize templates for 100+ locales and per-recipient personalization.
• Strong knowledge of responsive, accessible HTML/CSS for emails.

Complex Programmatic Email Development: Building personalized, high-complexity email templates, as well as reusable product-specific components by consuming data from various APIs and injecting it seamlessly into email UI logic. Reusable components will be built in React, Velocity, and any external email tool.

Campaign Enablement: Turning Figma files into modular, responsive, and reusable code components within email tools.

Audience & Traffic Management: Creating and optimizing lifecycle marketing campaign audiences using complex SQL queries and custom APIs.

The Complex Build Bottleneck: Unblocking the immediate pipeline of complex, data-heavy campaigns that require engineering depth beyond static layouts.

Audience Building Support: Reducing reliance on external engineering/partner team priorities that build campaigns in CommsHub.

Tooling Evolution: Collaborating with Design Systems to transition the team toward a modern, modular, and AI-assisted self-service architecture.

Production-ready, dynamically populated email templates, often Apache Velocity JS - code (e.g., automated summaries, ROI dashboards) powered by live API data.

Clean, scalable code frameworks within CommsHub (internal email tool) that pull from internal data sources.

Fully validated A/B testing setups with complete data and measurement tracking integrity.

Requirements

Must-have skills/experience:

• Senior-level execution.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or related field) with a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Their latest role on their resume should likely be Software Engineer with a front-end focus.
• We’d like to prioritize someone who is a solid front-end engineer, not an email developer first.
• Have a strong command of Apache Velocity JS (vlt), Macros, ( #set, #if, #foreach, #define), and how Velocity components/macros compose into full email templates.
• Work with scalable design systems, building and using shared components over one-off, hand-authored HTML, and know when to extend a component versus build a new one. Be fluent with Git (GitLab/GitHub), the command line, and your IDE of choice (Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code).
• Build for scale and personalization.
• Author a template once and launch it to 100+ locales, with localized copy and second-level personalization (per-recipient jobs with different criteria, dynamic data, looping through arrays).
• API Integration for Dynamic Content: Proven experience connecting to, querying, and consuming data from various internal/external APIs, and formatting that data into conditional, logic-driven dynamic emails.
• Advanced Email Coding & Responsive Development: Mastery of hand-coding highly responsive, accessible HTML/CSS optimized to bypass the rendering limitations of email clients (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail).
• Required tools, systems, or platforms experience: Design tools: Figma (translating designs to modular code) Cloud Infrastructure: AWS primitives (compute, storage, networking, IAM). DevOps / CI-CD: Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (e.g., Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI).

Nice-to-have skills/experience:

• Email experience is secondary to front-end experience.
• Practical experience leveraging AI tooling (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Claude, or AI-driven code fixes) to accelerate development and operational workflows. Prior exposure to component internationalization and localization frameworks.
