Sanofi in Bogotá, Colombia is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Controlling Operations Team. You will support day‑to‑day closing, run analyses, and drive transformation initiatives across finance operations.

The role requires 5+ years in finance controlling, strong Excel, SAP, TM1 knowledge, and English at B2 level. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to improve processes, ensure SOX compliance and contribute to a centralized operating model.

Formación

  • 5+ years in finance controlling, ideally within a Hub/GBS/shared services environment.
  • Proven track record in financial operations and process improvement.
  • English proficiency at B2 or higher.

Responsabilidades

  • Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities in SAP and TM1.
  • Manage personnel costs controlling, including bonuses and true-up processes.
  • Prepare analyses for balance sheet accruals, prepaids or reserves and monthly reconciliations.
  • Support financial reporting with monthly commentary and variance analysis.
  • Partner with Finance Business Partners and Controllers to analyze spend and commitments.
  • Ensure SOX compliance and complete monthly control checklist activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Be a reliable team member and contribute to transforming how controlling delivers value.
  • Identify and prioritize processes for centralization, automation and simplification.
  • Lead or support transition of processes to relevant teams and propose efficient designs.
  • Support global transformation initiatives for finance operations aligned to the core model.

Senior Financial Analyst

As Senior Financial Analyst within our Controlling Operations Team, your role will have two core components: Operations and Transformation. You will provide excellent controlling support for day-to-day operations while also identifying opportunities to improve processes, support centralization initiatives, and contribute to our evolving controlling model.

Main responsibilities
Service Delivery (Operations)
  • Support the month-end and quarter-end closing activities: prepare accruals and journal entries to be posted in SAP and manage and maintain and ensure the accuracy of master data in financial systems (SAP and TM1).
  • Manage Personnel Costs controlling, including Bonuses/Incentives Accrual and True-Up Process.
  • Prepare analysis to substantiate appropriate balance sheet accruals, prepaids or reserves, and prepare monthly account reconciliations with clear explanations of balance fluctuations.
  • Support the financial reporting process, providing results directly to Controllers for monthly commentary and variance analysis, including trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with Finance Business Partners and Controllers to analyze spend activities, commitments tracking, and support monthly commentary for variance analysis between actuals and forecast.
  • Ensure compliance with all SOX and internal control processes, complete monthly control checklist activities.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Be a reliable team member, fostering efforts to transform the way controlling operations delivers services and adds value to Sanofi.
Transformation Management
  • Identify and prioritize processes for centralization, automation and simplification
  • Lead or support the transition of processes to relevant teams and propose designs for more efficient operations and process simplification opportunities.
  • Support global transformation initiatives related to finance operations aligning to the Global core model (TM1, ERP, rolling forecast, Business Operation Optimization Model).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
About you
  • Experience
    • 5+ years in finance controlling, ideally within a Hub, GBS, or shared services environment
    • Proven track record in financial operations and process improvement
  • Soft skills
    • Growth mindset with agility in adapting to changing business needs
    • Strong partnership-building skills across multiple organizational levels
    • Ability to influence and shape business decisions
    • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking
    • Collaborative team player with a transformation-oriented approach
  • Technical skills: Advanced Excel skills, SAP knowledge and proven experience working across multiple internal stakeholders. TM1 knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • Languages: Strong B2 or above in English.
