Job summary

MSD is seeking a Senior Specialist, External Data Manager to lead trial-level external data strategy and delivery. You will own transfer-spec development, monitor transfers, drive defect triage and resolution, and ensure regulatory compliance and data readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, IT, or Medical Technology or equivalent.
• Masters or Doctorate preferred with 2+ years in data management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Gather external data requirements from protocols, service providers, and study teams.
• Ensure external data specifications are developed and approved by stakeholders.
• Verify that test and production files conform to specifications.
• Oversee data load issues and drive resolution.
• Mentor junior analysts and report metrics and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to resolve platform or integration issues.
