Cforge? Coforge is seeking a Senior Engineer - Elasticsearch & Node.js to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in a remote LATAM setting.

You will build Elasticsearch solutions, REST APIs, and containerized deployments with Docker, while integrating SQL/NoSQL databases and observability tools such as Datadog and Elasticsearch APM. Advanced English required; strong collaboration across global teams.

Formación

• 5-8+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering, Backend Development, or related roles.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, including Query DSL, Aggregations, Performance Tuning, and ILM.
• Strong development experience with Node.js in enterprise or cloud-based environments.
• Solid experience designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application environments.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Strong observability and telemetry knowledge with Datadog and Elasticsearch APM.
• Experience with distributed systems and AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or GenAI.
• Excellent English communication.

• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, technical design sessions, and best practice initiatives.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and GenAI platforms to improve engineering productivity and code quality.
• Contribute to cloud-based deployments and integrations within AWS environments.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure adherence to development, security, and operational standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using Node.js.

Required Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering, Backend Development, or related roles.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, including Query DSL, Aggregations, Performance Tuning, and Index Lifecycle Management (ILM).
• Strong development experience with Node.js in enterprise or cloud-based environments.
• Solid experience designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application environments.
• Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Strong knowledge of observability, monitoring, tracing, and telemetry solutions such as Datadog and Elasticsearch APM.
• Experience working with distributed systems and scalable backend architectures.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot or similar GenAI solutions.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices, code quality, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Elastic Stack (ELK) implementations and administration.
• Knowledge of Portainer.io for container management and orchestration.
• Experience deploying and supporting solutions in AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Exposure to Prompt Engineering and GenAI-enabled development workflows.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with globally distributed teams.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, AI technologies, and modern observability practices.
