Job summary

Gorilla Logic, Inc. seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to automate IT infrastructure, instrument platforms, and ensure system stability.

The role demands blending sysadmin and development skills with critical thinking and self-motivation, collaborating closely with teammates to deliver reliable operations. You will own uptime, performance, and change management while driving automation across cloud environments and platform deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of DevOps, systems administration and/or development background.
• 1+ year of coding experience in Java, Ruby, Python, Go, JavaScript or C.
• 2+ years of CI/CD experience with tools like Jenkins, Git, Puppet, Chef, Maven, Ant and Docker.
• 1+ year of infrastructure deployment, optimization, monitoring and performance of Cloud systems.
• 2+ years of public Cloud experience in AWS, GCP and/or Azure; GCP preferred.
• 1+ year of experience with Terraform.
• Strong Linux experience including scripting.
• Proven track record of maintaining and building large scale distributed systems.
• Proficient in scripting, coding, and deployment automation.

Technical Requirements

• 2+ years of CI/CD experience including build, source control and test automation with tools like Jenkins, Git, Puppet, Chef, Maven, Ant and Docker
• 1+ years experience with infrastructure deployment, optimization, monitoring, performance of Cloud systems
• 2+ years of public Cloud experience in AWS, GCP and/or Azure; GCP preferred
• 1+ years of experience with TerraForm
• Strong Linux experience including scripting
• Demonstrated track record of maintaining and building large scale distributed systems
• Proficient in scripting, coding, and deployment automation

Bonus Skills

• Cloud specific CI/CD experience including AWS CodeDeploy, GCP Cloud Build and/or Azure DevOps
• Experience with dynamic resource orchestration frameworks (Mesos, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes)
