Sutherland in Bogotá, Colombia is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes. The role emphasizes IaC, CI/CD, and monitoring to ensure reliability and security across production environments.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in Cloud Engineering or DevOps, strong troubleshooting skills, and English at B2 level or higher. This is a hybrid position based in Bogotá, with a detailed address in Usaquén.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Networking, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, including VPC, EC2, RDS, IAM, VPN, Security Groups, Route Tables, and Load Balancers.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• English proficiency: B2 or higher.

Responsabilidades

• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud networking components (VPCs, subnets, route tables, SGs, NATs, VPNs).
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
• Troubleshoot production issues related to networking, Kubernetes, AWS services and VPNs.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes networking, authentication, and cluster connectivity.
• Configure and maintain secure connectivity between AWS resources (EC2, RDS, etc.).
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support and improve CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub).
• Implement cloud security best practices (encryption, firewall policies, IAM, network ACLs).
• Support database infrastructure (RDS networking, parameter groups, connectivity).
• Experience: 3+ years in Cloud Engineering or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with AWS components (VPC, EC2, RDS, IAM, VPN, SGs, etc.).
• Strong Terraform skills for IaC and automation.
• Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters and networking.

We are looking for aSenior DevOps Engineerto join our team and support the design, deployment, and operation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure. This role combines expertise inAWS networking, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Kubernetes, and DevOps practicesto ensure the reliability, security, and performance of production environments. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience managing cloud networking, VPNs, firewalls, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud networking components, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, NAT gateways, and VPN connections.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure usingTerraformfollowing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to networking, Kubernetes clusters, AWS services, VPN connectivity, and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes networking, authentication, and cluster connectivity.
• Configure and maintain secure connectivity between AWS resources such as EC2, RDS, and other cloud services.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support and improve CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub).
• Implement cloud security best practices, including traffic encryption, firewall policies, IAM authentication, and network access controls.
• Support database infrastructure, including RDS networking, parameter groups, and connectivity.
• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Networking, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Hands-on experience withAWS, including VPC, EC2, RDS, IAM, VPN, Security Groups, Route Tables, and Load Balancers.
• Strong experience withTerraformfor Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• Experience administering and troubleshootingKubernetesclusters, including networking and authentication.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring and logging (e.g., CloudWatch) to ensure the health of applications and infrastructure, and troubleshoot issues across the stack as they arise.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPN technologies (IPsec), and network security principles.
• Scripting & Automation: Write and maintain Python ( and PowerShell/Perl where relevant) scripts to automate build, deployment, and operational tasks, integrating tools and services.
• Experience supporting production environments and resolving infrastructure incidents.
• Familiarity 
• Experience with Linux system administration and scripting is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• English proficiency:B2 or higher.
