Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Senior Data Reliability Engineer to build a new data quality layer, implementing freshness, volume, and schema checks across pipelines, and ensuring reconciliation between source feeds and Gold-layer tables.

You will wire alerting into existing observability tooling, define recovery objectives for prioritized datasets, and strengthen reliability across a growing data platform. This is a 100% remote role with USD compensation and access to the global Top 1% of tech talent.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data reliability engineering.
• Strong experience implementing data quality frameworks.
• Experience with data observability tooling.
• Hands-on experience with Datadog.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Implement data quality checks for freshness, volume, and schema across pipelines.
• Build reconciliation processes between source feeds and Gold-layer tables.
• Wire alerting into existing observability tooling to catch issues before they escalate.
• Define and support recovery objectives for prioritized, business-critical datasets.
