Job summary

Fountain Forward International seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own company data architecture and manage scalable Databricks pipelines using medallion architecture and Delta Lake. This role drives advanced data solutions, optimizes pipeline costs, prioritizes feature deployments, and mentors the Junior Data Engineer.

Qualifications

• Databricks certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of professional data engineering experience.
• Experience with star schema design, dimensional modeling, and semantic layer architecture.
• Proficiency with Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg and cloud environments (BigQuery/GCP or Databricks).
• Strong SQL and Python skills; familiarity with Databricks platform tooling.

Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and scale production data pipelines on Databricks with medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Design scalable dimensional models and star schemas for analytics and data marts.
• Own and govern the enterprise semantic layer and data definitions for reporting.
• Mentor and guide the Junior Data Engineer to foster growth and quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data deliverables with business goals.
